Cheryl Rabe, DNP, FNP-BC grew up in the neighboring farming town of Knippa, Texas.  She attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she received her Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, and Advanced Practice degree.  She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is nationally certified by the ANCC.

Cheryl serves as the chairwoman at SWTJC on the RN, ADN Nursing Advisory Board since 2009.  She also serves as an Advanced Practice nursing preceptor to several Texas universities.  She joined the Uvalde Medical and Surgical Associates Primary Care Team in January 2015. Prior to working with UMSA, she practiced with Dr. Isaac Sosa for 9 years.
